30-second verdict

Palm Springs day passes earn a depends verdict, and the day of the week does most of the deciding. Arrive sold at $20 on Tuesday Oct 13 and $50 on Saturday Oct 24. Ace sold at $25 on Thursday Oct 15 and $35 on Saturday Oct 31 (ResortPass, checked October 7, 2026). Thompson and Westin sell few or no weekend passes, so go midweek, or book days ahead and expect to pay more.

How do Palm Springs resort day passes work?

ResortPass’s Palm Springs page advertises day passes at more than 30 hotels (checked October 7, 2026). This guide covers five that sell a standard pool or hot springs pass. They are Ace Hotel and Swim Club, Arrive Palm Springs, Thompson Palm Springs, The Westin Rancho Mirage, and Azure Palm Hot Springs.

Two of the five are not in Palm Springs. The Westin is in Rancho Mirage, and Azure Palm is in Desert Hot Springs, which the resort places 15 minutes from Palm Springs (resort website, checked October 7, 2026). ResortPass groups both under its Palm Springs page, so this guide does too and names the real city in each section.

Price and availability follow the calendar. We sampled 46 dates for every venue, from Thursday Oct 8 to Sunday Nov 22, 2026. Arrive, Ace, and Thompson charge more on weekend days, Westin sells its Day Pass only Tuesday to Thursday, and Azure Palm charged the same on all 46 dates.

Inventory is small. ResortPass showed up to 20 adult passes per date at Thompson and Westin, and 8 or fewer at Arrive. When we checked on October 7, Saturday Oct 10 had one Ace pass left, and Monday Oct 12 had one Arrive pass left.

ResortPass added a 12% fee on every booking we checked: 26 live carts across the five venues on October 7, 2026, covering passes, spa passes, daybeds, cabanas, and day rooms. Tax was $0 on every pass, spa pass, daybed, and cabana cart. Day rooms were taxed, at 16.5% at Ace, 12% at Azure Palm, and 19.7% at Thompson, on the subtotal plus the fee.

How much does a Palm Springs day pass really cost?

A Palm Springs area day pass cost between $20 and $75 per adult before fees. That range covers the 46 dates we sampled, from Thursday Oct 8 to Sunday Nov 22, 2026 (ResortPass shop-api, checked October 7, 2026). ResortPass adds 12% on every booking we checked. Two adults paid $44.80 at Arrive on Tuesday Oct 13 and $165.76 at Azure Palm on Wednesday Oct 14, all in.

Palm Springs Day Passes: Cost Structure

Adult day-pass base prices sampled across 46 dates, Thursday Oct 8 to Sunday Nov 22, 2026, via ResortPass's shop-api. Two-adult totals are live carts built October 7, 2026 for Tuesday Oct 13, Wednesday Oct 14, and Saturday Oct 24 and Oct 31. Figures are pre-fee unless marked all-in.

The day pass wins. For one day in the pool on a weekday, with one or two adults, the pass costs a fraction of any private room.
Book the day room instead. Only if you want a private space to shower and rest between pool sessions, and a day room, not a night, covers it.

Parking is where the sources disagree. The ResortPass listings for Ace, Arrive, Westin, and Azure Palm each list free self-parking with the pass. Ace’s own FAQ charges $10 per car per day, and Arrive’s charges $15 plus tax per day, both written for overnight guests (hotel websites, checked October 7, 2026). The Thompson listing is silent on parking. Confirm at check-in, and budget for the guest rate if you drive.

Ace Hotel and Swim Club: the lowest weekday price, with lockers and a gym

Ace Hotel and Swim Club sells an adults-only (18+) Day Pass at $25 on 37 of the 42 bookable dates we sampled. Those are every open Sunday through Friday. The pass was $35 to $42 on five Saturdays (ResortPass shop-api, hotel 1499, checked October 7, 2026). The hotel sits at 701 East Palm Canyon Drive in Palm Springs, with a 4.4 rating from 393 reviews on ResortPass.

Saturdays are scarce. ResortPass showed one pass left for Saturday Oct 10, a sell-out on Saturday Oct 17, and $42 on Saturday Oct 24. ResortPass blocked the whole stretch from Friday Nov 6 to Sunday Nov 8. The listing marks the weekday price as a markdown from $50 or $55, so recheck before you plan around it.

A live cart priced two adults at $56.00 on Thursday Oct 15, which is two $25 passes plus a $6.00 fee and $0 tax. The same pair paid $78.40 on Saturday Oct 31. The pool runs 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. on the listing, and check-in is at the Pool Towel Kiosk with a photo ID and your booking ID.

The add-ons are priced as flat units. A round daybed for two adults was $100 on Thursday Oct 15 with both day passes included, so the daybed itself adds $50 to two $25 passes. A standard cabana for four was $175 on the same date, against $100 for four passes. The Spa Pass bundle was $60 on the same date, with a $50 spa credit.

Locals have a better option. The Monthly Membership Pass was $200 before the fee on Thursday Oct 15, and a live cart totaled $224.00. Eight weekday passes at $25 plus the 12% fee cost the same $224.00, so the ninth visit is where the membership pays off. Blackout dates apply.

Arrive Palm Springs: the weekend price is more than double the weekday price

Arrive Palm Springs sells an adults-only (21+) Day Pass at $20 from Monday to Friday and $50 on Saturday and Sunday. That held on all 44 bookable dates we sampled (ResortPass shop-api, hotel 1803, checked October 7, 2026). The listing marks the weekday price as a markdown from $50. The hotel is at 1551 North Palm Canyon Drive, with a 4.7 rating from 189 reviews.

The allocation is the catch. ResortPass showed between 0 and 8 adult passes left per date, with none for Thursday Oct 8 or Thursday Nov 5. Arrive’s own FAQ says only a limited number of passes and cabanas are sold on ResortPass, and it admits adults 21 and over only.

Two adults paid $44.80 on Tuesday Oct 13 and $112.00 on Saturday Oct 24, both in live carts with a 12% fee and no tax. The pool runs 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Outside food and alcohol are not allowed. Check in at the front desk with a photo ID and your booking ID.

The cabana is the expensive way in. At $250 on weekdays for up to six guests, it works out to about $41.67 a person against $20 for a pass. On weekends the $500 cabana is about $83.33 a person against $50. It buys shade, a fire pit, a bottle of bubbly, and a fruit plate (ResortPass shop-api, checked October 7, 2026).

Thompson Palm Springs: mountain views and almost no weekend passes

Thompson Palm Springs sells a 21 and over Day Pass at $59 on every Monday to Thursday date we sampled. It was $75 on the four Friday or Sunday dates it opened, and it blocked all seven Saturdays (ResortPass shop-api, hotel 2788, checked October 7, 2026). Only 29 of the 46 dates were bookable. The hotel is at 414 North Palm Canyon Drive, with a 4.7 rating from 104 reviews.

The open weekend dates were Friday Nov 20 and Sundays Nov 1, Nov 15, and Nov 22. The other six Fridays and four Sundays were blocked. The listing marks the Monday to Thursday price as a markdown from $75 starting Monday Oct 19, so recheck the price before you plan around it.

Two adults paid $132.16 on Tuesday Oct 13 and $168.00 on Sunday Nov 1, both live carts with a 12% fee and no tax. Thompson’s cart set the cancellation cutoff at 11:59 p.m. two days before the visit, a day earlier than at the other venues we checked.

The premium products move with the calendar. A resort cabana for four, with sofa seating, a flat-screen TV, and a bottle of sparkling wine, was $250 on Tuesday Oct 13 and a $280.00 cart. On open Monday to Thursday dates in November it was $400.

The cabana was also bookable on Saturdays when the Day Pass was blocked, at $500 on Saturday Oct 17 and Oct 24 and $599 on Saturday Oct 31. The private Day Room was $1,775 on Tuesday Oct 13 and $2,379.54 all in, so it is not a way to save money.

The Westin Rancho Mirage: waterslides and kid tickets, but only Tuesday to Thursday

The Westin Rancho Mirage sells a Day Pass at $35 per adult and $20 per child. The price was flat on all 19 dates it was open, which were Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays only (ResortPass shop-api, hotel 33, checked October 7, 2026). ResortPass blocked the other 27 dates. The resort is at 71333 Dinah Shore Drive in Rancho Mirage, with a 4.3 rating from 1,153 reviews.

The listing sells child tickets for ages 4 to 15, requires adults to be over 16, allows up to four children per adult, and does not allow infants. Two adults and two children paid $123.20 in a live cart on Wednesday Oct 14, which is $110 plus a $13.20 fee and $0 tax. Wednesday Nov 18 priced the same.

The pass lists two 125-foot dual waterslides, open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and the pools run 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. The listing names the La Paloma and Las Hadas pools. Marriott’s property page puts the slides at the Las Brisas family pool, so ask at the front desk which pools your wristband covers.

The cabana is the weekend way in. It was the only way into the pools on Friday Oct 9, Saturday Oct 10, Sunday Oct 11, and Saturday Oct 17. The price was a flat $300 for up to eight people, with the day passes included. Eight adult passes at $35 would cost $280, so the cabana adds $20 for shade, a mini-fridge, and sodas.

Azure Palm Hot Springs: a mineral hot springs day in Desert Hot Springs

Azure Palm Hot Springs sells an adults-only Day Pass at a flat $74 on all 46 dates we sampled (ResortPass shop-api, hotel 1048, checked October 7, 2026). There was no weekend increase. The resort is at 67589 Hacienda Avenue in Desert Hot Springs, with a 4.7 rating from 229 reviews. Two adults paid $165.76 on Wednesday Oct 14 and on Saturday Oct 17.

This is a hot springs day, not a hotel pool day. The listing names five indoor and outdoor mineral pools from 85 to 104 degrees, five free-flowing mineral tubs, a sauna, and a reflexology walk. Hours are 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. ResortPass lists the pass for adults 18 and over, and the resort says no one under 17 is permitted.

The resort’s own Day Spa page lists the Oasis Day Pass at $79 plus a $1 charge per pass (resort website, checked October 7, 2026). It also lists $10 off with a spa treatment. That is $80 against $82.88 through ResortPass for one adult. The page also still mentions a spring half-day rate, so treat the $79 as unconfirmed until you see the portal total.

The suite math is simple. The half-day spa suite totaled $262.17 in a live cart on Wednesday Oct 14. That is $209 plus a $25.08 fee and $28.09 tax, taxed at 12% of the subtotal plus fee. Two passes cost $165.76 that day, so the private suite adds $96.41 and includes its own mineral tub.

Why is Omni Rancho Las Palmas not ranked here?

Omni Rancho Las Palmas in Rancho Mirage lists a ResortPass Day Pass at $50 per adult and $35 per child on every sampled date. The listing names Splashtopia’s lazy river and two 100-foot slides (ResortPass shop-api, hotel 55, checked October 7, 2026). Omni’s own Splashtopia page says non-resort guests will not be permitted to enter the water park (Omni website, October 7, 2026).

We could not reconcile the two statements from public sources, so Omni is not ranked or priced in this comparison. If the slides are the reason you want the pass, call the resort at (760) 568-2727 before you buy.

What does check-in actually look like?

All five venues check day pass guests in at a front desk or kiosk. The listings agree on what to bring: a valid photo ID and your booking ID (ResortPass listings, checked October 7, 2026). Ace uses the Pool Towel Kiosk. Thompson, Arrive, Westin, and Azure Palm use the front desk. We found no reliable wait-time reports for these five, so this section sticks to what the listings and hotel pages state.

Age rules differ. Thompson and Arrive admit adults 21 and over only. Ace and Azure Palm list 18 and over, and Azure Palm says no one under 17 is permitted. The Westin sells child tickets for ages 4 to 15 and lists adults as over 16. Expect ID checks at the 21 and over venues.

Pool hours differ by venue. Thompson’s pool runs 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Arrive’s runs 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Ace’s runs 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., the Westin’s 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Azure Palm’s Oasis 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Westin’s slides close at 4 p.m.

Every live cart we built was refundable, with one cutoff to watch. Ace, Arrive, Azure Palm, and Westin set it at 11:59 p.m. the day before. Thompson set it two days before. Arrive’s cabana cutoff was 10 a.m. the day before, and Westin’s Las Brisas cabana needs 48 hours. Our guide to ResortPass cancellation covers the platform’s policy.

Which Palm Springs day pass fits your day?

The best pass depends on the weekday and who is coming. For a weekday pool, Arrive and Ace are the lowest verified prices. For mountain views, pick Thompson on a Monday to Thursday. For kids, only the Westin sells child tickets. For a hot springs day, Azure Palm is the only one built around mineral water.

Best for
  • Weekday pool days · Arrive and Ace were $20 and $25 on weekdays from Oct 8 to Nov 22, before the 12% fee. Those were the lowest prices we verified.
  • Couples who want views · Thompson's listing stresses San Jacinto views, and a Monday to Thursday pass was $59 for an adult from Oct 8 to Nov 22.
  • Families with kids ages 4 to 15 · The Westin is the only venue here that sells child tickets, at $20 on the dates we checked, with waterslides.
  • Hot springs and spa seekers · Azure Palm's pass, $74 on every sampled date, covers five mineral pools, a sauna, and a locker room. Ace's Spa Pass bundle adds a $50 credit.
  • Locals who visit often · Ace's Monthly Membership Pass breaks even against weekday passes at the ninth visit.
Skip if
  • Saturday-only plans · Thompson blocked all seven Saturdays and Westin sold none. Ace and Arrive had few passes left.
  • Toddlers or infants · No listing here sells a ticket for a child under 4, and the Westin does not allow infants.
  • Visitors who need a locker or changing room · Only Ace and Azure Palm name lockers in the listing, and Thompson names outdoor showers only.

What should you bring, and when should you book?

Book the weekday and check the weekend early. ResortPass drained fast on weekends: one Ace pass was left for Saturday Oct 10 and one Arrive pass for Monday Oct 12 when we checked on October 7, 2026. Thompson and Westin showed up to 20 adult passes per date.

Bring a photo ID for every adult and your booking ID on your phone. Pack for the rules rather than the weather. Arrive bans outside food and alcohol, Azure Palm rents robes and slippers, and Thompson lists towels and showers but no lockers. Westin lists no towels, so ask about them at check-in.

Check each venue’s hours before you plan around dinner. Thompson’s pool closes at 6 p.m. and Azure Palm’s Oasis closes at 7 p.m. The Westin’s slides close at 4 p.m., and its Las Brisas cabana must be checked in by noon or the reservation may not be held.

Watch the cancellation cutoff. Thompson’s is two days ahead, and the other venues’ is 11:59 p.m. the day before. Buy the pass on the weekday you will use, and recheck the price. The listings at Ace, Arrive, and Thompson mark their weekday rates as markdowns, so the figure can change.

Is there a cheaper way to spend a pool day in Palm Springs?

The cheapest verified pool day is a weekday at Arrive or Ace. That was $22.40 per adult at Arrive on Tuesday Oct 13, or $28.00 at Ace on Thursday Oct 15, all in with the 12% fee. Thompson’s pass was $66.08 all in on Tuesday Oct 13. Westin’s family of four paid $123.20 on Wednesday Oct 14.

The room math favors the pass for one day. Ace’s private day room for two adults was $221.82 all in on Wednesday Oct 14, against $56.00 for two passes. Azure Palm’s half-day suite was $262.17 against $165.76. We did not price overnight rooms, because rates change by date and Hyatt’s site blocked our automated checks. Ace adds a $45 per night resort fee plus taxes to a room (Ace website, October 7, 2026). Our comparison of a day pass and a hotel room covers the general math.

The City of Palm Springs also runs a public Swim Center at 405 South Pavilion Way in Sunrise Park. The city’s page, archived June 12, 2026, listed non-resident drop-in admission at $10 for adults and free for ages 4 to 12. A family of up to six paid $40 per visit. Copies of that page differ on fees and hours, so call (760) 323-8278 before you go. It is a municipal pool, not a resort.

The smarter swap

Go on a Tuesday or Wednesday. Arrive and Ace were $20 and $25 on Tuesday Oct 13 and Thursday Oct 15, against $50 and $35 on Saturday Oct 24 and Saturday Oct 31. For a family on a tight budget, the city Swim Center is the cheaper option, and Westin’s Tuesday to Thursday pass is the resort route.

Where should you book a Palm Springs day pass?

ResortPass was the only channel where we could price all five venues (checked October 7, 2026), and every one of its carts added a 12% fee. Ace and Arrive both send non-guests to ResortPass from their own sites. Azure Palm also lists a direct Oasis Day Pass on its Day Spa page, $80 with the $1 charge against $82.88 on ResortPass.

We found no direct day pass checkout for Thompson or the Westin on October 7, 2026. DayPass.com has a Palm Springs page, but its listings load behind a script we could not read, so we priced nothing there.

Where should you stay if you decide to book the room?

Ace, Arrive, and Thompson are all on Palm Canyon Drive in Palm Springs. The Westin is in Rancho Mirage and Azure Palm is in Desert Hot Springs, so a room near one is a drive from the others. Check the room rate on the hotel’s own site for your dates before you compare it with a pass.
