How much does the Omni La Costa day pass cost?

Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad sells four distinct day pass types through ResortPass, each covering a different part of the property. We priced six dates from September 26 to October 14, 2026, on ResortPass’s own booking backend (checked September 23, 2026). The Family Pool Day Pass was $65 per adult and $45 per child on all six. The Spa Full-Day Pass was $130 on every weekday and Sunday we sampled and $152 on the one Saturday, September 26. The Spa Twilight Pass, which covers entry from 2 PM onward, held at $100 on all six dates. The Little Sprouts Half-Day Pass for children’s club access was $95 per child on every date.

ResortPass adds a service fee at checkout that is not in any of those base figures. It was exactly 12% on every Omni La Costa cart we built on September 23, 2026, with no sales tax on the passes. A family of four on the pool pass pays $246.40 at checkout, not $220. Parking depends on the pass. Both spa passes include complimentary valet (ResortPass listing, verified September 2026). Cabana rentals are a separate purchase category entirely. Adult cabanas sit at the 21+ Edge Pool and hold up to six adults. Splash cabanas sit at Splash Landing and bundle Family Pool Day Passes for up to six people (ResortPass listing, verified September 2026). Bookable cabanas ran $250 to $350 base on the dates we sampled, lowest on the Tuesday and Wednesday. On the Saturday we sampled they listed at $375, and every cabana was already sold out. Cabanas also carry the 12% fee plus 7.75% tax on base and fee, so a $250 cabana came to $301.70 at checkout. If a cabana is central to your plan, book it at the same time as your pass. Weekend cabana inventory can be gone days before the date, so do not treat it as something to add later.

A note on the Garden Pool Day Pass: it appears in the ResortPass listing at prices between $75 and $90 depending on day. It was unavailable on every date we sampled. Do not choose Omni La Costa specifically for Garden Pool access without confirming availability on your target date first.

What’s actually included in each pass?

The Family Pool Day Pass covers Splash Landing, the two 100-foot waterslides, and the family swim areas, and towels are included (ResortPass listing, verified September 2026). It does not include the adults-only Edge Pool, the Garden Pool, the spa, or the Athletic Club. The Edge Pool requires a separate cabana booking. The Little Sprouts Half-Day Pass is a separate kids’ club product. It covers up to four hours of counselor-supervised care and one meal for one child aged 4 to 12. Parents must stay on property (ResortPass listing, verified September 2026). At $95 per child on every date we sampled, it is priced as a premium add-on, not a bargain inclusion. It makes sense for parents booking a spa pass who want structured programming for children rather than leaving them unsupervised in the family pool area.

The Garden Pool Day Pass appeared in the ResortPass product list at $75 to $90 depending on day. But it showed as unavailable on every single date sampled across six weeks. Do not count on it being bookable.

Check-in reality at Omni La Costa

Omni La Costa is a large, spread-out resort on 400 acres, so arrival orientation matters. Bring a photo ID and your ResortPass booking ID. Pool pass holders check in at the front desk, and spa pass holders check in at the spa desk (ResortPass listing, verified September 2026).

Bring your own Coast Guard approved life vest if your child is 42 to 47 inches tall and wants to ride the large waterslides. The ResortPass listing flags in capitals that vests are required at that height and not provided.

For a pure beach day with none of the day pass overhead, Moonlight State Beach in Encinitas is roughly 4 miles south of the resort. It has volleyball and tennis courts, a snack bar, and a playground, and the City of Encinitas operates it (California State Parks, verified September 2026). Omni says its bell desk arranges shuttle service to select destinations, so ask whether the beach is on the list.

The math to watch for families of five or more: at $65 per adult and $45 per child, five people cost $265 or more before the service fee and parking.
