Napa Valley is wine country first and resort destination second. But the hotels here have built serious pool and spa infrastructure, and six of them sell non-guest access through ResortPass. The prices vary more than almost any other market DayPassScout has reviewed, from $49 per adult on a September Tuesday to $1,250 for a Friday cabana at Stanly Ranch. Knowing which property matches your group and your day of the week is what separates a smart daycation from an expensive mistake.

Every price below comes from ResortPass’s own booking backend, queried by numeric hotel ID across 33 dates from August 13 to September 14 2026, checked on August 12 2026. They are base prices before the platform fee. Where a price moved, we publish the range and how many dates sat at each end rather than a single number that will be wrong for your date.

How much does a Napa Valley resort day pass cost?

The floor in this market is $49, the Meritage Family Pool adult rate on Monday through Thursday dates from September 1 onward. The ceiling for a single adult pass is $219, the Fairmont Sonoma Spa Pass on one sampled weekend date.

Between those ends, across 33 dates checked on August 12 2026:

• The Meritage, Family Pool Day Pass. Monday to Thursday $49 to $59 adult and $39 to $49 child, 18 dates. Friday to Sunday $119 to $139 adult and $109 to $129 child, 15 dates. Available on all 33.
• The Meritage, Adults-Only Pool Day Pass. Monday to Thursday $59 to $69. Friday to Sunday $129 to $149.
• Calistoga Motor Lodge, Day Pass. $50 adult on 17 of 18 Monday to Thursday dates and $125 on one. Friday to Sunday $75 on 11 dates, $112 on two, $131 on two.
• North Block, Day Pass. $99 on all 33 dates, available on all 18 Monday to Thursday dates and unavailable on all 15 Friday to Sunday dates.
• Stanly Ranch, Chaise Lounge. $150 on 17 of 18 Monday to Thursday dates. $250 Friday to Sunday.
• Fairmont Sonoma, Main Pool Day Pass. $100 adult and $50 child on all 18 Monday to Thursday dates. $125 to $137 adult and $50 child Friday to Sunday.
• Rancho Caymus, Day Pass. $105 on all 33 dates, available on all 33.

Two patterns run through the whole set. Friday prices as a weekend day at every property, so a Thursday and a Friday at the Meritage differ by $80 per adult. And rates stepped down roughly $10 per pass for dates from September 1 onward, which is a season change rather than a day-of-week one.

None of these figures include the ResortPass platform fee added at checkout. Food and drinks are pay as you go at every property.

What is actually included in a Napa Valley day pass?

Every property includes different amenities, and the ResortPass listing for each pass is the inclusion contract. The grid below applies to the Meritage pool day passes. Separate sections cover Calistoga, Stanly Ranch, and the Sonoma and Rutherford properties.

The Meritage Resort & Spa, Napa

The Meritage is the most versatile day pass option in Napa city. It sells two pool passes through ResortPass, a Family Pool Day Pass at the Grand Reserve family pool and an Adults-Only Pool Day Pass restricted to ages 21 and up. Both cover a heated outdoor pool, a hot tub, towels, Wi-Fi, and complimentary self-parking, with poolside food and drinks available for purchase.

The critical gotcha: both the ResortPass listing and the resort’s own pools page state that pool day passes do not include access to Spa Terra facilities or wellness classes. If you want the pool and the underground spa, you need two separate passes.

Family Pool Day Pass, 33 dates checked August 12 2026. Monday to Thursday $49 to $59 adult and $39 to $49 child. Friday to Sunday $119 to $139 adult and $109 to $129 child. Available on every date checked.

Adults-Only Pool Day Pass. Monday to Thursday $59 to $69. Friday to Sunday $129 to $149, available on 13 of those 15 dates.

Spa Pass, $100 on all 33 dates. It covers Spa Terra from 9:00am to 6:00pm for ages 18 and up. The listing names a jacuzzi, eucalyptus steam rooms, a relaxation lounge, and a glass of champagne. It showed as available on all 18 Monday to Thursday dates and unavailable on all 15 Friday to Sunday dates, so treat it as a midweek product. Its listing says parking costs extra, unlike the pool passes.

Cabanas. The Family Pool Cabana covers day passes for up to six people plus a private shaded cabana. It adds sofa seating, two reserved loungers, a mini fridge, a bottle of prosecco, and two kids’ welcome drinks. It ran $199 to $249 Monday to Thursday and $399 to $449 Friday to Sunday. The Adults-Only Big Cabana, which covers up to 12 adults, is the ceiling at $499 to $599 midweek and $899 to $999 Friday to Sunday.

The Calistoga Motor Lodge & Spa

The Calistoga Motor Lodge is the cheapest mineral pool option in Napa Valley on a midweek date. The day pass covers outdoor heated mineral pools, a hot tub, lounge chairs, and towel service. It also lists a refillable bottle of water on arrival, lawn games including Jenga and bocce, Wi-Fi, and complimentary self-parking. The listing states the pass grants access to Fleetwood Restaurant & Bar, where food and drinks are pay as you go.

The mineral pools are the draw. Calistoga sits over a geothermal field. A $50 midweek pass gets you heated mineral water, foothills views, and a relaxed atmosphere. It feels nothing like the polished resorts at Meritage or Stanly Ranch.

33 dates checked August 12 2026. Monday to Thursday $50 per adult on 17 of 18 dates and $125 on one. Friday to Sunday $75 on 11 dates, $112 on two, and $131 on two. Children were $50 on every Monday to Thursday date and $50 or $60 Friday to Sunday. Every date checked was available.

Calistoga sits at the northern end of the valley, roughly 30 miles from the city of Napa. Budget the driving time. The tradeoff is worth it if mineral soaking, not wine country resort scenery, is the goal.

North Block Hotel, Yountville

North Block sits in the village of Yountville, within walking distance of several well known restaurants. Its day pass covers a heated outdoor pool, a hot tub, lounge chairs, and towel service. It also lists the fitness center, changing rooms with showers, locker rental, and a welcome beverage. Wi-Fi, self-parking, and a 10% discount at The Restaurant at North Block round it out. Day guests are restricted to adults 18 and up; children are admitted as hotel guests only.

At $99 the price sits mid-market, and the appeal is the location. Yountville is walkable, with concentrated restaurant and tasting room density. The pass works as a rest-and-recharge base for a day of exploring, not as a pool destination on its own.

Stanly Ranch, Auberge Collection

Stanly Ranch sells pool access differently from every other property here. There is no flat per-person entry. You book a specific seat. A chaise lounge reserves one shaded chair. It covers two outdoor heated pools, jacuzzis, towel service, outdoor semi-private showers, Wi-Fi, and self-parking, with food and drinks for purchase at Basin Bar. There are no changing rooms, outside food and drink are not permitted, and anyone aged 10 or older needs their own chaise reservation.

Chaise, 33 dates checked August 12 2026. $150 on 17 of 18 Monday to Thursday dates and $250 Friday to Sunday. Availability is the real constraint: 15 of 18 midweek dates were bookable, but only 5 of 10 Saturday and Sunday dates.

Cabana. $550 Monday to Thursday and $1,250 Friday to Sunday. It covers a partially shaded cabana with daybed seating for up to four adults, includes two chaise loungers, and adds a bottle of sparkling wine per cabana.

The reserved-seat model is a genuine advantage over properties where loungers disappear by 10am on a busy Saturday. But a $250 weekend chaise for one person is a lot. The honest framing is that you are paying for the Auberge setting, the guaranteed chair, and Basin Bar steps away. If those matter to you, it delivers. If not, the Meritage adults-only pool is $100 or more cheaper per person on the same day.

Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa (nearby)

Fairmont Sonoma is in Sonoma, not Napa Valley, but it appears on ResortPass’s Napa Valley search. It has the most varied pass menu in this comparison, and the pool and the spa are two separate products.

Main Pool Day Pass. $100 adult and $50 child on all 18 Monday to Thursday dates. It was $125 on nine Friday to Sunday dates and $137 on one, with the child price holding at $50 throughout. The pass covers the outdoor geothermal mineral resort pool, first-come lounge chairs, towels, and Wi-Fi. The listing states it does not include spa amenities.

Spa Pass. $159 on 15 of 18 Monday to Thursday dates, up to $199 on the others, and $199 to $219 Friday to Sunday. It covers three outdoor and two indoor geothermal pools, plus the Bathing Ritual with its exfoliating shower and halotherapy sauna. Also listed are the fitness center and classes, locker rooms, robes, slippers, towels, and three hours of self-parking. Adults 18 and up only.

Spa Pool Day Pass Happy Hour. $99 on 14 of 18 Monday to Thursday dates, rising to $119, and $119 to $129 Friday to Sunday. The listing limits it to Monday through Thursday, 3:00pm to 7:00pm, with no check-in before 3:00pm. It is the cheapest route into the geothermal pools in this entire six-property set.

Choose Fairmont Sonoma if spa immersion, not just a pool chair, is the goal. Sonoma is roughly 30 minutes from the city of Napa, so a round trip adds about an hour to your day if Napa is your base.

Rancho Caymus Inn (nearby)

Rancho Caymus Inn is a boutique property in Rutherford, in the heart of Napa Valley wine country but listed by ResortPass as its own location. Its day pass covers an outdoor plunge pool, an outdoor hot tub, first-come lounge chairs, and towels. It also lists a complimentary bottle of water, Wi-Fi, and self-parking. Poolside beer, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks are available for purchase. It is restricted to adults 21 and up.

For a couple on a wine-touring day, Rancho Caymus adds a quiet pool stop between vineyard visits. The flat pricing makes it predictable. It is not a full resort experience, but the plunge pool setting is genuinely appealing.

Is the room math worth running?

For two adults on a Monday through Thursday date, the day pass wins clearly. Two Meritage Family Pool passes at the August base of $59 each come to $132.16 after the 12% platform fee, with self-parking and towels already in the pass. Standard rooms at the Meritage ran $201 to $386 per night on momondo and KAYAK on August 12 2026 for a mid-August weeknight. Against that range, the pass saves roughly $69 to $254.

The math tightens fast on the other four days. A family of four on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday pays $600.32 before food. That is above the bottom of the room range, and it passes KAYAK’s $413 trailing weekend-night average once you add lunch. At that point a room buys you the property all day and into the evening, when day passes have expired.

Book Monday through Thursday, and check that Friday is not in your plan. Friday prices as a weekend day at every property here. At the Meritage that is an $80 per adult difference from Thursday.

Watch the September step-down. Dates from September 1 onward came in about $10 per pass cheaper than August dates at the Meritage. If your trip is flexible by two weeks, that is real money for a family.

Arrive early at Stanly Ranch. Chaise inventory is limited and only 5 of 10 sampled Saturday and Sunday dates were bookable at all.

Bring sunscreen and a refillable bottle. No Napa pool pass includes a food credit, and poolside drinks are wine country priced. Budget $25 to $40 per person for food and drinks.

Book the Meritage Spa Pass separately if Spa Terra is the goal. Visitors regularly arrive with a pool pass expecting spa access. The resort enforces the separation, the Spa Pass is a midweek product, and it does not include parking.
